  • A quote...

...from Rolling Stone's interveiw with presidential candidate Barak Obama:

RS: "Where you disturbed by the distain he [McCain] exibited toward you during the first debate?"
Obama: "No. I think that's a sign that we must be doing pretty well."

Others might not agree with my choice but, the more I heard from him, the more I like him.

Sometimes, you just have to wonder.

McCain could have developed Alzheimer's, I suppose...

In recent campaign visits to Virginia and North Carolina, McCain reveal what was being touted as a "new stump speech". This speech, however, was the exact same speech he issued earlier in his campaign, word for word. The only change was an added section about fear, and stutters in a few different places.

The speech is still being called "completely new" and "a brand new direction" for his campaign.
So repeating what you've said before verbatim is the new 'new'?

It just makes me wonder; Can people really be that gullible? That stupid? To be fooled by major McCain-supporting reporters and news groups into believing that a recycled speech is, in fact, somehow brand new?
Or do McCain's supporters just have very short-term memories? Perhaps a bit of protective ignorance, eh?

    Elsewhere, in Palinland...
It somewhat bothers me that Sarah Palin keeps asking the question "Who is Barak Obama?". Why? Because he's not the one locked in an abuse of power scandal. Because he's been accepting interveiws throughout his campaign. He's been getting himself out there.
We all know who Barak Obama is, and we all know who right-wingers want us to think he is.

So, Mrs. Palin, who, exactly, are YOU?

But I'm not one to engage in childish mudslinging, so I'll leave it at that. Besides, most of Palin's most active fans are borderline rabid with Palin Fever (a rare form of Avian flu, found mostly in sheep and Alaskins), and I hear those rabies shots hurt like hell.

    What, more?!
Finally, after listening to it for months now, I have to say; there's an aweful lot of talk about things that aren't "The Issues" coming from McCain's campaign, especially considering they promised to run a campaign focusing on the aformentioned "Issues". Hmm... interesting...
